A world class sound amplifier.
The Story

This amp came about as a result of a client's high interest in the 6384 pentode tube, combined with his patience as I worked through optimizing the amp for bert sound. The result was definitely worth the effort, as this amp has world class sound. The design has competed successfully against amps costing many times this amps value.

The amp uses the 6394 pentode in a triode connected pushpull output stage.
The stage bias is via the grid and user adjustable.
The output stage is fed by a 12AT7 in an LTP configuration, with the tail being fed by a large negative voltage supply.

The entire amp is powered with adequate reserves using a CLC type supply.
The output stage is set up in the "gentle" range for this powerful tube, and thus is
positioned best for optimum sound and long life as opposed to power output.
